About Shane Duff
Shane Duff joined Cheltenham Town Football Club from school, spending a year in the Youth Team where he impressed enough to earn a professional contract. He spent the next two years learning his trade playing for the Reserves and gaining a good reputation for a string of fine performances for Evesham United in the Dr. Martens league in the 01/02 season.
His first team appearance for CTFC came in December of 2002 and he went onto make 15 appearances for the Robins during the rest of the season.
Shane has also made appearances for the Northern Ireland U21 squad, including opposition such as Spain.
He is now a regular for the Robins and won the Player's Player and Supporter's Player of the Year awards in the 04/05 season. In the 05/06 season Shane helped guide the Robins to a play-off final win against Grimsby Town at the Millennium Stadium to take them into League One. The following season Shane helped them avoid relegation to ensure Cheltenham Town would have two concurrent seasons in League One for the first time in their history.
